A refurbishment and extension to a large classical period country house built in the late 1800s in a Georgian style. The brief was for extensive interior and exterior refurbishment works incorporating a new grand staircase and landscaping works including a new pool house. During the project an old water pit was found which was successfully renovated into a basement wine cellar. This was a huge renovation project that we worked on with local construction company Nicholas Coppin.
"Having done a number of building projects over the years, John stands out as the best architect we've ever worked with. From design through to construction we have been thoroughly impressed by John's proactivity and attention to detail, backed up by a superb team in jbA and his consulting partners. We are now halfway through construction and are delighted by the speed and quality of the work."
